Dr Rosemary Gillan MC 09753

MB, Bch, DObs, FPC, MRGGP HDipMed (Derm)

Dr Rosemary Gillan is a graduate of NUI Galway (1985) and completed her post graduate training in Ireland. She completed the following disciplines in General Medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and Family Planning before completing her GP training in Edinburgh in 1991. She is a member of the Royal college of General Practitioners and an associate member of the Irish College of General practitioners. She holds Diplomas in Child health, Obstetrics and Dermatology.

Dr Gillan became a GP GMS principle in Cabra in 1997. She is currently working in Coolock since 2004 where she grew the Practice which is now 'Coolock Family Practice', operating with her Partner, Dr Kate Mac Sweeney. The practice is registered as a training practice since 2012. Dr Gillans particular interest is Women's Health and Dermatology.

Dr Kate Macsweeney MC 182291

MB, Bch, BMedSc, MICGP, DCh, HDipMed (Derm)

A graduate of UCC , class of 2003, Kate has diplomas in Child Health and Dermatology. She spent time working in oncology, gastroenterology and cardiology before beginning her general practice training in RCSI in 2005. Here, she gained further experience in paediatrics, emergency medicine, medicine for the elderly and psychiatry.

Dr MacSweeney joined with Dr Rosemary Gillan in 2010 and became partner in 2015. Her special interests are dermatology and women's health and she is a tutor with RCSI.

Marie-Therese Warren

Practice Nurse

Marie-Therese graduated as a general nurse from Trinity College Dublin in 2006. She worked in a variety of general nursing roles in St. James's Hospital Dublin, before moving to the Rotunda Hospital where she completed her Higher Diploma in Midwifery. After her graduation as a Midwife in 2009 she continued to work as a Midwife in the Rotunda Hospital until November 2013.

At this point Marie-Therese took a position as a Practice Nurse in a surgery in Tallaght where she completed her training in Cervical Smears as part of Cervical check, Venepuncture and Ear Irrigation.

In 2016 she joined the Coolock Family Practice team where she provides services which include Phlebotomy, ECG'S, adult and baby vaccinations, Cervical smear tests as part of Cervical check, Antenatal and Postnatal care, Ear Irrigation, 24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring, administration of injections, Diabetes care, Asthma care, Blood pressure checks and Women's health education.

Rachel is a key member of our team and is responsible for the day to day running of our Practice. Providing support to our Patients and Doctors alike she works in a fast paced environment and ensure appointments and patients are dealt with in an effective manner.
